These terms describe how WalkCoins coins work. They form part of our Terms of Service.

1. Coins are loyalty points

WalkCoins coins are loyalty reward points with no monetary value. They are non-transferable and non-cashable, cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another user, and are not a prepaid instrument, e-money, wallet balance, or security.

2. Earning coins

  • Coins are earned from your steps only, validated server-side.
  • The published rate at launch is illustratively 1 coin per 250 steps, with a daily earning cap (illustratively 10,000 steps). Exact values are shown in the app.
  • The coin-to-reward rate is fixed and public. We will not reduce the redemption value of coins you have already earned.
  • Rewarded ads, daily spins, and streaks grant Sparks (in-app-only), never coins.

3. Redeeming coins

  • Redemption is for in-kind rewards only — mobile/DTH recharge and brand vouchers — subject to a published minimum (illustratively 1,500 coins = ₹15).
  • There is no cash, UPI, or bank withdrawal.
  • Each reward displays its exact coin price before you confirm.
  • Rewards are fulfilled through a licensed rewards/voucher partner; WalkCoins acts as a distributor, not the issuer of any voucher or prepaid instrument.

4. Fulfilment & availability

We aim to fulfil redemptions promptly and show live status in the app. Catalogue items, denominations, and availability may change. If a reward cannot be fulfilled, we will credit your coins back.

5. Expiry & inactivity

Coins may expire after a stated period of account inactivity (clearly shown in-app). We will give reasonable notice before expiry where required.

6. Fraud, reversal & caps

Coins credited in error, or through spoofed steps, automation, multiple accounts, referral abuse, or other fraud, may be withheld, reversed, or voided, and related redemptions cancelled. Suspicious or first-time high-value redemptions may be held for manual review.

7. Prize draws & sweepstakes

Any prize draw offered is free to enter(no coins staked, "no purchase necessary") and governed by separately published rules. WalkCoins does not run coin-staked chance games.

8. Taxes

Rewards are provided as loyalty benefits. You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to you. Where the law requires tax deduction on a particular reward, we will comply and provide the relevant documentation.

9. Changes

We may update future earning rates, the catalogue, and these terms, with notice for material changes — never by devaluing coins you have already earned.
